All 3 - 5th grade that did not complete the CLASSICAL PERIOD and ROMANTIC period worksheets can do so now. Your grades are impacted by not answering and submitting this work. It is a couple of sentences on what you learned in class. Submit by 6/4 for credit. That is an extension of over a month for those of you that did not turn it in.

Submit through this portal and be legible. Just download and edit the Assessment and return to me. If you submit just the answers, make sure the writing is legible.
I will not accept work done through DOJO or handed in, as there will be no record of you having done the work.

MY COMMERCIAL PROJECT.

Students have been assigned to a group that will be creating a COMMERCIAL for a fictional Product. This will be the grade for the Quarter.
THE OUTLINE
GOAL 1: Create, compose, write and produce a 3 minute commercial for a fictional product
GOAL 2: Working in a group, create a product and write the advertisement copy for the product
GOAL 3: Compose a piece of live backing music (using classroom instruments or found sounds) played by the group while a piece of written "ad copy" is read by a member of the group
GOAL 4: Compose an ending jingle that is sung over the top of the music, created in QGrooves or QComposer
GOAL 5: Perform the COMMERCIAL on JUNE 1st with product pictures, costumes, live music and jingle music in front of classmates and parents.

This booklet will be filled out NEATLY and inserted into a folder by each student in the group with the group's decisions and turned in with the performance. These will be returned with the student's grade on Friday, June 4th.

Next week we start the study of Hispanic Heritage. For Hispanic Heritage week, we will be learning about the geography, music and instruments of Latin American countries. We will also be making a drum as a project in class.

The first class starts on Tuesday which will be Day 3 Specials, Days 2 will be on Wednesday and Day 1 is on Thursday.

All students will need:
1. An empty and cleaned out peanuts or Pringles or cheese puffs container with a lid. Keep it smaller. Anything you have already, unless you need to buy more to eat! LOL
2. Colored paper to FIT the container so we can wrap the container and glue it OR use the Latin America map I sent to you and wrap it around your "drum".
3. Crayons or markers to decorate the container
4. Glue for our creation to the container (KINDERGARTEN and 1st Grade PLEASE Pre-Glue your container before class)
5. A pencil or wooden spoon or drumstick to be able to play our container.
6. A star sticker to mark your family's country. If you are not from Latin America, pick your favorite country and mark it with a Star!

OPTIONAL:
1. A picture (pictures) of a Latin American country or Latin American instruments to paste on to our drums. Make sure they are cut out and can fit the drum.
2. A trim of any kind to make it "Fancy". It's your drum, make it reflect you!

We will add to our project IN CLASS over the next two weeks. Then AFTER it is completed I need a picture uploaded to this site for a PROJECT GRADE, but, you can't do that until AFTER we build it in class. POST the project to the homework site by 10/15/2020. UPDATE: Since we will be returning to school soon, upload a picture as soon as you can complete it so you don't have to bring to school and take it home again.

Thank you. No parent help except for the glue for Kinder and 1st. This is a student project!
